CCTV footage played to the jury yesterday showed Eamon Lillis had been wearing clothes similar to the blood-stained items found in his attic on the tag heuer replica day his wife was killed.

Detectives went to Summit Stores in Howth, close to Lillis' house, where four CCTV cameras were running that morning. Two of the cameras allegedly showed him pulling up in his car, entering the shop and buying a paper.

The man was wearing a black jumper, blue jeans and dark shoes with a white trim. These clothes were similar to ones found in a black bag in Lillis' attic after his wife was murdered. The clothes were covered in replica clothing Celine's blood and had been stuffed into a black bin liner which was put into a black luggage bag.

It was then buried under children's toys and books in the attic of Lillis' home.

Earlier the court heard during an interview with Lillis five days after his wife's death, gardai asked how the clothes got there.

He suggested a
embroidered patches burglar had put them there but later admitted there had been no intruder at the house on the day his wife died.
